It was a crisp sunny day in London on Saturday and it brought out some interesting cars. As well as seeing a Shelby Mustang and Bristol 401 we also saw a W111 cabriolet as we were driving down Baker Street. It was navy blue and had a 5.6 badge on the boot lid. I'm assuming someone had shoehorned a 5.6 engine into a 3.5 Cabriolet body - quite popular in Germany apparently. It looked fabulous but did have the hood up.
Then as were looking for a parking spot around Brompton Road we spotted this 3.5 Cabriolet parked up with the top down. I've been on events with this car before and it won the club concours last year it looked pretty damn fine. No sign on the owner unfortunately...
There were only 35 68 RHD 3.5 cabriolets ever made so seeing two on the same day 37 years after they rolled off the production line must be slightly unusual!
