I mentioned some production numbers for the 3.5 cabriolet from memory a few weeks ago and managed to get the number wrong. Robert Schmitt kindly provided these numbers for me recently straight from Mercedes so they should be correct. The original 1971 price list is here.

So the correct number of RHD cabriolets is 68 and RHD Coupe is 245, a select few.

These are the numbers I have
W111 280SE coupe 3797 Cabriolet 1390
W112 300SE coupe 2419 Cabriolet 708
I'm not sure what the breakdown is for LHD vs. RHD.
